> Topamax has been granted pediatric exclusivity from the Food and Drug Administration. The Ortho-McNeil Neurologics product is indicated as initial monotherapy in patients ages 10 and older with partial-onset seizures. The new FDA designation extends the exclusivity of Topamax–which is also indicated as an adjunctive therapy for adults and children (2 and older) with partial-onset seizures–through March 2009.
