Comment: In 98 people with Lennox-Gastaut syndrome, aged 1-30 years, adjunctive use of Topamax reduced the number of drop attacks and major motor seizures. Topamax seems to work for “almost if not all” seizure types, said Dr. Tracy Glauser, one of the investigators and director of the Children’s Comprehensive Epilepsy Program at Children’s Hospital Medical Center, Cincinnati. He is a member of the advisory board of the Epilepsy Foundation and a consultant to Ortho-McNeil.
